A dense, translucent stone. Light passes through rather than around it, so the bulb disappears and the shade becomes the glow — warm and even, with very little glare. Because it is quarried, every shade carries its own veining.

Discs and rods mouth-blown and assembled into tiered forms. Glass transmits light most directly, throwing highlights and patterns onto the walls behind the fixture.

Solid brass frames, cut, brazed and hand-finished. Left unlacquered it ages to a soft patina; polished and sealed it stays bright. Either way the metal reads as structure, not decoration.
